Income Tax Return Deadline!
Individuals deemed to have the obligation to submit a Tax Return in Malta, must do so by not later than the 30 June. The tax return document is a self-assessment statement in which the tax payers declare all their income and capital gains which are subject to tax in Malta.
Maltese legislation practically brings to tax all income arising in Malta, but we also have the notion of Capital gains which may lead to further tax in the case of sale of immovable property and shares. Exemptions do exist and these can be used to mitigate one's own tax liability position.
So, if you haven't submitted your tax return and feel that you're required to do so, get in touch and our team of professionals will guide you through the process.
